Noodle Soup for Breakfast

For us in the Western Hemisphere it might be a little unusual to eat noodle soup for breakfast, but believe me in Asia it is the norm. Yes one can have the traditional American or English Breakfast, but usually one has other savory treats here.

The noodle soup today was actually a really simple one, we just took some instant noodles, nice and spicy an cooked them as per direction, but then to make it a bit different we wok fried quick some oyster mushrooms and bok choy, then a hard boiled egg and finish....and yes it was delicious.

One might say now that it is nicer to have a freshly made soup, true, but not everybody has time to cook everything from scratch and I have to admit, some of the ready products are really quite nice, then with the little extra flavor one has a lovely meal that is quickly prepared.

Try it out, have an Asian start of the day, you will see that after that you have eaten enough but you won't feel overly full which is a great feeling to start the day
